Software: OpenNewsletter
OpenNewsletter is a PHP-based mailing list manager for a single list. It’s the software I’m using to send the massive QMO emails (we have around 1300 email addresses). It’s much easier than sending 13 batches of 100 emails through Yahoo Mail, or worse, sending 2 batches of 500 emails and getting my account shut down temporarily in Gmail.
It’s really simple software, and in this case that’s a bad thing for me. Considering it’s free, I can’t really complain, but I’ve ended up using it solely for sending emails and not for actually managing the list itself. I keep a plaintext file on my local machine and then upload it to the server when I want to send an email. Kinda dirty.
Still, better than nothing.
